Owning A Piece Of The Internet By John Styrose Just when land was a hot commodity back when there was a lot of it, domain names are the new virtual property people should start to invest in. If you think about how young the internet really is, it's only about 15 or 16 years old. Owning a piece of it now at its infancy will benefit you as it becomes harder and harder to attain a good domain. If you want to get an idea of how really profitable owning a website could be just compare it to owning a piece of real estate. Just like a home builds equity, a website can also build equity depending on the length of the domain name, the content it has, and if it makes any profit from the visitors that view it. Domains are being sold everyday with prices ranging anywhere from a couple bucks to a couple hundred or even thousands of dollars. If you have yet invested because you don't know anything about running a site then just get over it and do a simple search for it in google. Trust me, you will find the information you're looking for. Once you find the information, put it to action and a few years or months down the road you'll be able to see first hand just how profitable it really is to owning your own web property once you sell it.
